The Wizard of Oz (11) Home Again (HJ Lee)

Chanpter 22~24

      Via the country of the Quadlings, finaaly, Dorothy and friends arrived the South Country, where lives the good witch Glinda, who was beautiful, young, and kind.     

    Dorothy asked to Glinda to go home instead of giving a golden hat. Surprisingly, the fact, Dorothy had the key to go home. Dorothy's silver shoes which Dorothy have been wearing since arrive Munchicken's Country, was the key to her home.

     If Dorothy knew it, Dorothy could go home the day. However, she may never meet her friends like the Scarecrow, Tin woodman, and the lion, and they would not have any wish come true. Also, she have been able to learn great deal through trip.

They want to go each places.

    Dorothy - Home in Kansas

    Scarecrow - Emerald City

    Tin Woodman - Winkey's country in the West

    The Liom - Old Forest

Geulrinda gave their wishes come true.

     Eventually, Thorothy could go back her home, and she met her uncle and aunt! With this, the Wizard of Oz's the long journey was over.

   Dorothy met her family, so she and her famliy might happy so much! As we can see in the picture, Kansas was not grey colour city no more. There is Orange colour, becausee of warm. ^^
On the other hand, I think that Dorothy amy miss her friends, who met Oz's Countries truly. Also, I wonder whether Tin Woodman met his love.

The Wizard of Oz (10) New Journey to the South (HJ Lee)

 Chanpter 18~21

    All of the friends accomlished their wishes, but Dorothy didn't know how to go back to her home. In order to fulfill the wishes of Dorothy, they decide to go to the South where lives the Glinda who is a good witch. So, their journey started again.

    Via a forest and a wall, they arrived at the Dainty China Contry. They who live there have very small body, and their whole body is consisted of pottery. So, they are very careful that their bodies were broken. Dorothy and her friends did not want to harm them, but they broke several parts of the country.

    Unexpectedly, in spite of careful, sometimes we hurt others. Some people like pottery country people, their hearts are as hard as porcelain. They are broken their heart with a little touching, even if they are fitted, their looking is different from traditional. In that sense, I think people who have a job which  deals with people's minds should have gentle and soft-hearted, and also skills which does not hurt to their minds. One of my dreams is that to heal people who would be hard. In order to do, I believe that I ought to do training of my personality.


     They came into the other forest. There is a great spider, and the Lion killed it bravely! Thereupon the brave Lion became a King of the Forest.

   When I read the appearance of the lion king, my heart was proud. Now it's almost the end of reading this book. A variety of consequences of characters have been revealing. I expect the consequences.

Viel Of Roses - Charles Balamou

After her father told about the meaning of that sand, her mother told to her by this word" There's more in the box", she prompted her, and handed it back. Tami felt her hope rising, and this frightened her, for in Iran hope is seldom nearly always suffocated. When she braced herself and peeled back the next layer of tissue paper. He gasped. In the bottom of the box was a passport for her. There was a one way airplane ticket out of Iran to Turkey, and from there she was to obtain a visa and ticket to the country of her parents' dream.

Her father was saving her. He was sending her to America.

The Wizard of Oz (9) A Humbug Oz (HJ Lee)

Chanpter 15~18

The Discovery of Oz

   
     Finally, they met Oz again. However, the discovery of Oz was a humbug who was just a little mat, not a great Wizard!! So, Dorothy and friends worried that they might not get their wants.

     Oz said that you didn't need your wants - brains, heart, and courage - or you already had it. The Scarecrow had Experience which brings knowledge, the Lion already had sort of courage which is against being afraid, the Tin Woodman didn't need heart which made most people unhappy. Nevertheless, they really want these. Then Oz promised to give these soon, instead they must keep Oz's secret.

 

Getting Brains, Heart, and Courage

   
   Oz gave them each thier wants.
 
   When the Scarecrow got his Brains which made of pins and needles, he also got the patch on his head. However, he didn't care it, and he felt wise indeed.
 
   When the Tin Woodman got his Heart made of silk filled sawdust, he also got the patch on his breast. However, he didn't care it, and he felt  warm indeed.
 
   When the Lion got his Courage made of some kinds of water, the smell was terrible. However, he didn't care it, and  he felt full of courage indeed.

    When I read the story, I thought somethings. These are if I woud like to get someing, I also lost something, and if I get wants which want really, the lost is nothing. In my case, I was finally a permanent resident last week. The times are very difficult for me. I worked so hard and I feel lonly, so sometime I had been crying all day. However, after got permnent residence, the joy made ​​to forget the wounds. Such as, due to the mother's pain is forgotten as her baby. ^^

    In addition, though although these were not big, they really glad to get theirs, I think that everything depend on thier mind.  Because, Brains, which made Oz, made of just  pins and needles. It really funny, isn't it? Do you know Placebo Effect  which is from  a study of Walter Brown of Brown University, USA?  What is the placebo effect? If patients eat Placebo(not real medicine) which the patients believe real medicine, then the parients' illness has improved actually. This phenomenon called  Placebo Effect. If we believe and expect good things, they are eventually done.
 

Good-Bye Oz

     Oz made the Ballon in order to go Dorothy to her home. However, eventually, Oz has left alone. Then, the Wise Scarecrow became a new ruler in Emerald City.

How does Dorothy go back home?

Dear Readers,
I have introduced my book and I have given the resume. Let's talk how the things happening.
On the occasion of twenty-seventh birthday of Tamila, her parents hosted a celebration dinner for her. It was only her fourth year of teaching. They invited all of family's friend. When finally the guests were out the door, her father pushed it closed with both hands and leaned his forehead against it for a long moment.
"Baba?" Tamila asked. " Is something wrong?"
"Of course", her mother answered.
When they lived in America, her father studied as graduated student at the University of california at Berkeley in the 1970s. In a decision he is regretted for the rest of his days, he brought his family back to Iran for an extended visit during the tumultuous days immediately after the Shah was deposed an Ayatollah Khomeini returned from exile. Her father has never been able to secure for himself permission to leave Iran.
Her Father say" Your mother and I have a present for you, Tami Joon"
Tamila asked " What is it?" and returned his smile.
" Here, open the box". Her father thrust the box at her.
Tamila lifted the blue porcelain perfume bottle from the box. But when she raised the perfume bottle to her nose and inhaled, she wrinkled her nose in confusion and felt her smile leave her face, but after carefully twisting off the spritzer and discovering it contained only sand.
Her father pulled her close and kissed her forehead. " My beautiful Tamila, this is not just any sand." 
"This " he said reverently,is sand from America. I brought it back with my own hands to give to my beautiful Tamila Joon on her fifth birthday, so she can keep it safe and know that when she is older, she has a special job to do. She is to take this sand and return it to where it belongs. She is to return it to America.
I will write a lot in the next blog.

The Wizard of Oz (8) The Wicked Witch of the West (HJ Lee)

 

Chanpter 12~14

 

Falling in Danger 

 

      They leave the west in order to serch for the Wicked Witch and kill her, for their needs which are brains, a heart, a corage, and going home in Kansas. As epected, they met many dfficulties such as wolves, wild crows, bees, Winkies, which obey the Wickes Witch. Dorothy and her friends overcame all of them, but when they encountered Winged Monkes, Tin Woodman squeezed the whole body, Scarecrow the body is separated, the Lion was losing power, and Dorothy was caught by a slave of the Witch.

 

 

 

Death of the Witch

 

    Dorothy has had to work all day for the Wicked Witch, and she was very lonely and sad. However, because Dorothy has the mark of Good Witch's kiss and  silver shoes of the wonderful power, the Witch  even anybody couldn't hurt her. Then one day, accidentally, Dorothy was able to kill the Witch. Dorothy, who was angry, poured water toward the Witch, then the Witch was melted away!! 

 

 

    I thoght during the time, it was very tough for Dorothy. There is no friend, also she could not see a bright future. However, unexpected way  ofren solove a problem in our life. In other word, the answer is very simple, surprisingly.  A little bit luck needed, of course, as Dorothy.  ^^

 

 

Return to the Emerald City

     Winkies and Winged Monkes, who were Witch's slaves, helped Dorothy, so  the Lion, Tin Woodman, and Scarecrow were fixed and met Dorothy again. Also Dorothy got Golden Magic Cap, so the Winged Monkey obeyed her. Therefore, Dorothy and her friends could return to the Emerald City Safely. 

 

    Sometimes, someone who was enermy in the past may become helper now like Winged Monkey. If I get Golden Magic Cap, which has power of doing anything from Winged Monkey, I hope to order to biult Wonderful kindergarten, because this is my dream in the future. What will you order if you have Golden Magic Cap?
