The Wizard of Oz (4) The Tin Woodman without Heart (HJ Lee)

Chapter 5

Dorothy and the Scarecrow found the Tin Woodman, who has been stood there one more year, next to a tree. He needed oil, so Dorothy took the oil-can and oiled hisnec, arms, and legs.

The Tin Woodman had long sad story. He was a human, who was the son of a woodman, and he loved a Munchkin girls. However he has been cuted his arms, legs, and even head by the evil Wicked Witch. A tinner restored his body by tins, but  he lost his brain, and heart, and of corse his love from his heart. Therefore, he wanted regain his heart and love, so he also decide to go with Dorothy and the Scarecrow.

I thought it's just as well that he didn't lost his mind. Although, he didn't have his heart anymore, but he still want his love. Also, He'd like to get his heart than brain, and he believe that if he resolve his love, he will be happy again. It means his happieness form loving! I agree about that. Love is the greatrst and worthest. On the other hand he has been stood and asked to help one more year. During the time, he could give up, but he didn't do. He had already the patience which it made during the hard time. I really hope he resolve his heart!

  1. Hi HJ,
I think that you are doing the best Job because after you read, you give the definition of the new or hard words you have read. It is the best way to learn a new language.
